what condition is this?so for the last... idk maybe 5-6 years ive had pretty severe depression. in the last year or so, i started getting pretty bad anxiety symptoms such as tight chest pains, numbness... heart attack feelings i suppose they refer to as panic attacks-- i find that to be a pretty sensational definition, im not PANICKING or being attacked, it just really sucks. i got arrested last february for selling bud, and since then things got much worse. i got a jail sentence, and every day since i went in ive had "panic attacks". in the last few weeks, ive had numb fingers (im guessing something to do with blood pressure?). my muscles seem very tense, and i have a pinched nerve in my back (could just be from work).
anyway, before i went to jail, i was prescribed escitalopram (lexapro), which didnt do jack for it, then they switched me to half an mg of klonopin, then upped it to 1mg. i seemed to be on the right track, tho im not a big fan of benzos. once i went in, they wouldnt give it to me anymore, and didnt offer me any substitute, so obviously things have been escalating.
any idea what this is and what would work well for it? xanax seems to help (not prescribed yet, once i get to my doc im gonna see about switching... that is once i get the freedom to go do that).
thanks for the help, this sucks and id like to be happy for once.
Ive been to counselling, and ive been prescribed to klonopin. the jail just wont give them to me.
ive had severe depression since i was... 14? maybe? im 21 now.

depression and anxiety are controlled by the same chemicals in the brain.
you may be having symptoms of panic, but you are VERY fortunate to not actually be panicking.
i don't really have any answers for you other than that :(
talking to your doctor sounds like the best plan though.
sorry

Sounds like depression and anxiety. Consider therapy before you resort to benzos, they are highly addictive and you may not even be able to fond someone to prescribe them if you are not also in therapy.
faking a smile :]
sounds like you might have anxiety attacks
