just took my first xanax and I had shortness of breath?

just took my first xanax and I had shortness of breath?Im also taking omeprazole because my doctor thinks I have acid reflux because i have had this breathing interruption, that lasts for a second or 2 for about 3 years now,but I have no heartburn. About 20 minutes after taking this, I had a BIG shortness of breath for about 1 or 2 seconds, and i feel like xanax didnt do nothing to me, I feel the same(kind of nervous) what could this shortness of breath be and why isnt xanax kicking in and why am i not sleepy or anything


yeah I know but everyone think that its the typical "panic attack" shortness of breath, this is more of a "smothering" sensation breathing interruption and immediately my heart starts racing because of panic, that is what started my anxiety disorder in the first place, I just dont know what could it be, oh and by the way im 19 male 160 pounds

ok meds take a while to get in to the system even if they are for anxiety ,they can still take an hour to kick in but usually on average 20 mins also not all meds will work on everyone but give it time
