What does "fluid voters" mean?what does that mean? i'm writing an essay on the connection between capitalism and mental illnesses and one of the arguments that my teacher wrote was:

"Given the fluid, unstable voters of capitalism, people are in a state of anxiety."

what does that mean

It means people who ride the fence are easily pissed off, and they might vote one way during one election and exactly the opposite way during the next one. Just check out what happened in 2008, and compare that with what happened in 2010.

fluid means easily flowing, their voting tastes can quickly change from left to center to right etc.

Reading more into it, they are not principled and ideological, they are fluid, easily influenced, emotional, of the moment, etc.

That they are more emotional, leads to more anxiety, and anxiety leads to mental illness.
